Centennial Park Activities

Fourth Saturday Family Fun Days
The fourth Saturday of each month, April – September, enjoy an afternoon of FREE family fun once a month. This event is full of activities including educational programming, specialty workshops, performances, contests, prizes and more.

Music at Noon
On Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon-1 p.m., April-October, enjoy Music at Noon, which features a variety of live music including R&B, jazz and reggae. Make a lunch date with Music at Noon as relaxing tunes float over the city. Be sure to take a quick dash through the Fountain of Rings!

Play Away From Traffic

Youngsters need a safe place away from moving vehicles. Driveways and alleyways should be discouraged as play areas.

Take time to create an imaginative play area away from the street that has the needed interest and stimulation for encouraging children to play there with their friends. Stress playing away from parked vehicles and encourage games that will keep youngsters off the street.

Go to the Brittany Park Playground or play in the backyard. There are many parks nearby as well. A Cul-de-sac is still a ROAD so avoid playing in the road.

Center for Puppetry Arts

Visit the permanent museum exhibit, Puppets:The Power of Wonder, and our special exhibits including Jim Henson: Puppeteer and Jim Henson: A Man & His Frog, free of charge every Thursday from 1-5 p.m.

Atlanta Contemporary Art Center

The Contemporary exhibits consequential contemporary works by local, regional, national, and international artists and is free every Thursday from 11 am until 8 pm. Thursday evenings often feature programming such as lectures, gallery tours, film screenings, and much more.

Stay Out of the Neighbors Yard

Follow the rules and avoid walking on grass at someone elses house without permission. That is trespassing!
